FSSAI has launched a brand for trans-fats-unfastened claims made by FBOs (food commercial enterprise operators), which it said became voluntary. The emblem for trans-fats-unfastened may be displayed using their stores’ FBOs and meal products. Still, they need to conform to the requirements special inside the Food Safety and Standards (Advertisement and Claims) Regulations, 2018, which state that meal products should not have trans-fats more than 0.2g/100g.
